More about Alani & Oz
Oz and Alani met in their foster home and formed a special bond that has helped them both gain confidence and feel safe. Because of this, they are looking for a forever home together.
Oz’s story is one of quiet resilience. He was found in an abandoned apartment with several other cats, left without food or water and living in heartbreaking conditions. Oz may start off a little shy, but once he warms up, his gentle and loving personality shines through. He’s not a fan of being picked up, but he adores sitting beside you, soaking up all the pets and affection you’re willing to give. Oz absolutely loves other cats — they bring out his confidence and playful side — He would love a home with other cats and having his BFF Alani along with him would be a dream come true!
Alani is a stunning, purebred long-haired Abyssinian with a gentle soul and a heart that simply needs time to bloom.
Her journey hasn’t been an easy one. Because Alani’s personality was shy and she wasn’t considered “perfect” enough to sell, her breeder made the decision to take her to the vet to be euthanized. Thankfully, our incredible veterinarian refused — and Whiskers Fund stepped in immediately, promising Alani that she is perfect just the way she is and that we would find her the loving home she deserves.
When Alani arrived, she was severely underweight and clearly had been neglected. She is now on the mend and slowly gaining weight with the help of kitten formula and lots of care. She still has a bit more to gain, but she’s making steady, healthy progress every day.
Alani is a shy girl who needs time, patience, and kindness to feel safe. She doesn’t rush into trust, but once she begins to feel secure, her sweet nature shines through. Alani is not not “broken.” She is not a throwaway. She is a survivor — and with the right home, she will thrive. Because of this, we are seeking a calm, understanding home for her along with her pal Oz!
Alani & Oz's ideal home:
• A quiet, patient household
• An adopter willing to move at their pace
• Someone who understands that shy cats blossom into the most loyal, loving companions
These two are quiet survivors who thrive together and will blossom in a loving, understanding home. If you’re ready to open your heart to a wonderful pair, Oz and Alani would love to find their perfect home together!
